COMPANY BACKGROUND

 

Winshine Industries Sdn Bhd (“Winshine”), located at Sri Gading Industrial Area, Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia was incorporated on the 23rd January 1989, has now emerged as a progressive company specialised in quality occasional furniture, bedroom sets, dining sets, stool, buffet & hutch set manufacturer.  Over the years, the company has established a strong position as an export orientated furniture maker. The annual turnover of the company is approximate RM100 million of which 80% is export for financial year ended July 2008.  Currently the Company has a total work force of over 350 workers of which 40% is local and the remaining are foreigners from Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam and Myanmar.  Its worldwide export market covers USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Scandinavia Countries, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

 

In 2001, Winshine became a wholly owned subsidiary of Yeo Aik Wood Sdn Bhd. Yeo Aik Wood Sdn Bhd in turns is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Jaycorp Berhad which is listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia. 

Jaycorp Group primarily involved in the manufacture and export of furniture, rubber wood processing, corrugated carton packaging and logistic.

 

Yeo Aik Wood Sdn Bhd has been involved in the manufacturing of furniture since 1992.  Over the years, Yeo Aik Wood has established its reputation as a quality and efficient furniture manufacturer specialising in dining sets, office, desk/chair, buffet & hutch, and occasional furniture from the environment friendly plantation rubber wood.  It’s fully integrated furniture set up enable it to exercise firm control from design to finishing and thus ensuring consistent high quality, and efficiency at all stages.    

 

A ISO9002 certified company, Yeo Aik Wood has been involved in manufacturing and exporting of furniture to the high stringent quality conscious Japanese market.  All employees, from Managers to Factory Operators, are committed to and involved in a never-ending task to constantly improve the quality of goods and services. 

 

Today, Jaycorp Group is proud to have its furniture products exported to more than 45 countries all over the world of each continent with more than 100 customers under its belt which include some of the largest retailers in the world such as Walmart Store, Target Store, Metro Group, Nitori, Coaster and etc.

CAPACITY

 

         There are nine furniture related factories located in Melaka, Muar, Batu Pahat, Grisek and Medan(Indonesia)within the  group and each factory specializing in different type of process in order to achieve optimal efficiency.

         Current Capacity for export quality products:-  

    Chairs:- 180,000 pieces per month

    Tables:- 45,000 pieces per month

    Bed/ Living room:- 10,000 units per month

SUSTAINABILITY ~ Green The World

      

Jaycorp Group is endeavours on playing an active role by promoting a green and sustainable environment.

 

VISION STATEMENT

“To conscientiously and continuously seek knowledge and improvement of our people and processes. To constantly pursue our belief to work in harmony with the environment for the good of our future generation”.

 

In line with the corporate vision and image, our furniture products are only using plantation rubber wood.  Winshine Industries is also aiming to be the first in the industry to gain certification from Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody(FSC COC) for its rubberwood furniture. The company is also in the process of applying for WWF membership and joining Global Forest Timber Network.

 

Besides that, the group is promoting the usage of palm oil bio based polyurethane foam for its upholstery seats which is 1st of its kind in the world and it offers a greener alternative.

Rubber Wood Supply Strategy

 

The group sources rubber wood locally, from neighbouring country Thailand as well as from joint venture partner’s plantation in Indonesia.

 

Currently the group has 16 chambers of kiln drying facilities in Malaysia and 20 chambers in Indonesia with total monthly capacity of 6,000 m3.

 

Our Indonesia Venture

 

The group has formed a Joint Venture Subsidiary Company in Indonesia with a state-owned enterprise by holding majority shareholding of 51% interest. The state-owned joint venture partner has over 88,000 acres of rubber plantation in Sumatra Island, Indonesia. The joint venture company has secured the concession from the Indonesia Government to fell the rubber tree for 70 years starting from 2004. This concessionary has assured the group of uninterrupted Long Term Sustain Supply of Solid Plantation Rubber Wood for its production. This long term strategic joint venture will form the backbone of the group furniture arm’s future success in view of the scarce resources available in the market.
